The Rob Pursley Scholarship Fund

To honor Rob’s memory and competitive spirit, an annual basketball tournament for charity was created. The 2018 tournament took place on Saturday, December 15th and Sunday, December 16th at the Blue Ash Recreation Center, 4433 Cooper Road, Blue Ash, OH 45242. Games were held between 12 and 4 p.m. on both days.

Proceeds from the tournament benefited the Rob Pursley Foundation. Scholarships were awarded to Sycamore High School graduates who, while not receiving college athletic scholarships, are hopeful to walk-on to their college teams. Recipients demonstrated the love of their sport and played with the passion and dedication demonstrated by Rob. Scholarships were awarded on January 11, 2019 at 6:30 pm at the Sycamore High School during the varsity basketball game.

Winners of the first Rob Pursley Memorial League were the Old-timers, which was the last team Rob played on with his father Dan.

Tax deductible donations in Rob’s memory are sincerely appreciated. Donations may be sent to Dan Pursley at 1298 Meadow Vista Dr. Maineville, OH 45039 and made out to The Rob Pursley Foundation.

The tournament has benefited thirty-eight student athletes, the non-profit organization Parents of Murdered Children as well as Crime Stoppers.

The Pursley family deeply appreciates and thanks everyone for their continued love and support over these past thirteen years. Be sure to hug and tell your family how much you love them every day as you never know what tomorrow will bring.
